Highbrighton is one of the great southern sporting estates comprising over 550 acres. Although not open to the public, Highbrighton hosts private shoots with fantastic sport and unparalleled hospitality.
For over twenty five years the owners have hosted private, invitation-only sporting events for family, friends, and business associates. With their global shooting experience gracious hospitality, the Highbrighton Shoot was born. Highbrighton has become one of the great southern sporting estates, hosting politicians, diplomats and others from around the world, all of whom have come together to share their love of the sport.
Each shoot at Highbrighton shares our personal philosophy, which is to maintain the highest standards with a great emphasis on the enjoyment of the days: the presentation of the birds and fabulous hospitality. We pride ourselves in great attention to detail, from husbandry of the birds, the day’s shooting, and the food and drink.
On any of our shoot days our guests can expect a steady stream of high and testing birds over a varied topography. You may also see deer, bears, wild turkeys and quail, who are all residents of the estate. Our shoots have a welcoming atmosphere as evidenced by the presence of family and youngsters in the field on holidays and weekends.
We believe shooting must embrace certain responsibilities and ideals. We remind ourselves of this regularly and are conscious of the values instilled in us by previous generations who taught us to love the countryside and the sport. The land we are lucky enough to operate over is enjoyed by a variety of wildlife; the stewardship of the land is vital to the preservation of natural habitats in Virginia.
